With a background in traditional
marketing and deep experience in building brands for
women, Amy Stanton has a unique
perspective on the women’s landscape, the role of femininity in
personal and professional lives, and the impact that unleashing our
true feminine power can have on happiness. In
2006, Amy founded Stanton & Company, a PR and
Marketing agency with a focus on brands created for and by women,
with a passion for promoting and building positive female role
models and messaging for women. Before founding Stanton &
Company, Amy served as the first-ever CMO for Martha
Stewart Living Omnimedia and was the head of marketing and
communications for NYC2012, New York’s Olympic bid.
Together with Catherine
Connors, Amy has also recently published a book called 'The
Feminine Revolution' which challenges outdated perceptions
that femininity and displaying feminine traits such as
emotionality, vulnerability and being nurturing is considered weak.
In the book, the authors provide examples of how you can
unleash your femininity, against the conventional grain, and
willingly “Flirt Freely,” “Be
Agreeable,” “Apologize,” “Show Your
Weakness,” and “Be Romantic.” Every woman will
define femininity in her own way—the book includes quotes
from fashion designers, athletes, executives, chefs, and first
ladies to this effect.
The book's forward is written by
volleyball player and TV personality, Gabby Reece and includes an
impressive roster of interviews including, Cindy Crawford, Paula
Abdul, Chloe x Halle, Jordyn Wieber, Cat Cora, Justin Baldoni and
more.
